Choosing a School
The process of selecting a graduate or professional school, while
more complex than selecting your undergraduate institution, involves
many of the same factors:
- Quality
- Location
- Cost and availability of aid
- Your chances for admission
Your faculty advisor is going to be a key source in providing
you information about selecting a school. You can find some very
helpful information in Peterson's
Graduate and Professional Study. This site will allow you
to identify programs by institution, location, academic area,
and professional degree. Another excellent site is U.S. News and
World Report's
America's Best Graduate Schools. Two additional excellent
sources are gradschools.com (www.gradschools.com)
and gradschool.about.com (http://gradschool.about.com)
