REMINDERS:
- Not all Honors courses have general education equivalents.
- Honors sections of Rhetoric and Composition DO NOT count as
part of the Honors Program.
Study Abroad:Students who have received credit for courses other than language courses taken while studying abroad may be exempt from one honors seminar. Contact Barbara Filippidis (X8558; Sorin 217) for details.
To complete the Honors Program, students must take at least eight honors courses (24 hours), seven seminars plus the Senior Thesis, and maintain a GPA of 3.50 in honors courses and a GPA of 3.20 overall. Students must also fulfill requirements such as attending the Honors Thesis Symposium each semester. Students who are not in compliance with all requirements cannot register for Senior Thesis (Honors 4399).
Students who fall below the required honors GPA (3.50) or the required cumulative GPA (3.20) for three
consecutive semesters will be subject to dismissal from the Honors Program.
Students who have not registered for an honors course for three consecutive semesters are also subject to
dismissal.
