To be eligible for Texas teacher certification, the applicant must have successfully completed all requirements outlined in the degree or deficiency plan, including the ExCET, TExES, and/or TOPT tests.

1. Log on to http://www.sbec.state.tx.us/
2. Select "SBEC Online"
3. Select "Applicants/Educators"
4. Select "click here"
5. Set username and password*
6. Enter demographic/profile information
7. Indicate the entity that is making the recommendation (St. Edward's University)
This affirms that the information you have entered in correct
8. Print remittance (payment) form
9. Send remittance (payment) form and $75 (payable to "SBEC-CRT")
10. Send email to Frank Smith at <jfranks@admin.stedwards.edu> indicating that you have registered for your certificate with SBEC Online.
