Middle School Certification Requirements (Grades 4-8)

students listening to instructorStudents completing the following programs will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in the specific area of concentration and will be recommended for Texas Grades 4-8 Teacher Certification upon graduation and the successful completion of the appropriate licensure exams.

All students working toward 4-8 certification must meet the course requirements under:

  1. General Education
  2. Professional Education
  3. A 48-hour Area of Academic Specialization (Major)
