Individuals seeking teacher certification
in Texas are required to successfully complete comprehensive
licensure examinations. The specific exams required are
designated on the degree or deficiency plan. An individual
must have either completed the work outlined on the deficiency
plan or be enrolled in the final semester of the program
before taking the TExES exams.
The successful completion of a licensure
practice test is required before a student may register
for the TExES Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities
test, the Elementary Comprehensive test, or the Bilingual
Elementary Comprehensive test.
