be licensed as an athletic trainer in Texas, an individual
must meet the following University and general requirements:
- Complete

Hold valid First Aid and CPR Certifications.
- Perform
and document 1800 clock hours of field experience under
the direct supervision of a state-licensed athletic trainer.
Experience must be completed in three successive years
(Fall and Spring semesters only) with no less than 600
clock hours completed within each academic year. (KINE

- Earn
a baccalaureate degree.
- Successfully
complete the state licensing examination and receive subsequent
approval of the Board of Athletic Trainers for the State
of Texas.
