Deficiency Plan for Teacher Certification

Each prospective student should have a deficiency plan produced to delineate the specific requirements that must be fulfilled to obtain certification. Requests for a deficiency plan should be made to the Associate Dean of Education, Fleck Hall, 216.

The following information is required to produce a deficiency plan:

  1. A cover letter with the prospective student's name, address, phone number,and the nature of the desired certification (e.g., *EC–Grade 12 Art, Grades
    8–12 Math, EC–Grade 4 Generalist).
  2. Photocopies of all official college transcripts.
  3. Photocopies of THEA Test results (if available).
  4. Photocopy of any teacher certificates (if applicable).
