Secondary Certification Requirements

Students completing the following programs will be awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in the specific area of concentration and will be recommended for Texas grades 8-12 teacher certification upon graduation and the successful completion of the appropriate licensure examinations. classroom group discussion

All students working toward 8-12 certification must meet the course
requirements under:

  1. general education
  2. professional education
  3. an area of academic specialization (major) and
  4. a second teaching field (optional).
