Successful completion is defined as scoring
80% or better on the appropriate practice test. There is
no cost to the student to take the practice test. Students
may attempt the
test as often as necessary to achieve success but must wait a minimum of one
week between test attempts. Students who have not successfully completed the
appropriate practice test(s) will not receive the authorization required for
ExCET/TExES registration eligibility. Students must also successfully complete
the appropriate practice test(s) to
receive credit for student-teaching internships.
For more information on the practice tests
or to register for a practice test, contact the School
of Education office, Fleck Hall, 216, 512-448-8651.
To prepare for the ExCET/TExES practice
test, carefully read the ExCET/TExES Registration Bulletin
and the appropriate ExCET/TExES Preparation Manual or Study
Guide in their entirety. Answer the sample ExCET/TExES
test questions provided in the ExCET/TExES Preparation
Manuals or Study Guides. |
