Fall Fairs: Volunteerism, Internships & Campus Involvement
Is your student looking to get involved on campus or around the community? During Fall Welcome Days — activities in August and September hosted by the university for students — remind your son or daughter to be on the lookout for these fall fairs:
Help Your Student Make “Major” Decisions
If your student isn’t sure what to major in, encourage him or her to consider the university’s
Academic Exploration Program. Students in AEP critically and creatively explore the academic programs offered at St. Edward's while identifying their own skills and talents. They also discuss internships, résumés and cover letters. Get tips for choosing a major.
E-mail the AEP director.
Students can also take advantage of CPAM 1110: Topics in Career Planning & Management. Taught by a Career Planning staff member, this Independent Study course is tailored to meet each student’s individual career needs. If students are undecided about a major or career, this course will emphasize career self-assessment to help them make career decisions that match their personality, skills, interests and values.
