Number of Gilman Scholars Places St. Edward's among Top 10 Universities
This past fall, five of the university's students were awarded Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships to help fund their study abroad opportunities. These results rank St. Edward's among the top 10 universities nationwide in terms of the number of Gilman Scholars, placing us alongside institutions such as the University of California–Berkeley, New York University and Penn State University.
Students at St. Edward's have a long tradition of enhancing their college experience by studying abroad. The scholarships — ranging from $2,600 to $5,000 — are highly coveted. Each year around 2,000 students apply, but only 350 are selected.
