Combining health and counseling services is a growing trend for universities throughout the country.
Conveniently located in the upcoming
Lady Bird Johnson Hall near the heart of
campus, the university’s new Health & Counseling Center will provide enhanced services for students.
“With the integration of the two centers, students will feel that all needs can be promptly addressed in a more
confidential and efficient manner,” says
“Our goals are not only to address the acute symptoms a student brings into our center but to provide educational programs that prepare the student to cope, problem solve, and choose and live a healthy life,” Serviń-López says.
The center will provide more space and technology to accommodate the growing
