There’s not a more festive time on the hilltop to be with your student than Homecoming and Family Weekend. The whole university community comes together for this fun-filled tradition to share memories, make new ones and celebrate everything that makes St. Edward’s so remarkable.

“It was great visiting our son in his new surroundings during Homecoming and meeting other families,” says Edward and Dianna Patterson, parents of John Patterson ’13. “We enjoyed the campus tour, learning about the university’s study abroad programs, the terrific fireworks display and a special dedication ceremony at the grotto. The weekend highlighted the close feeling of family at St. Edward’s.”

Homecoming 2011 Highlights

• Visit our schools’ open houses with your student — hosted across campus Friday afternoon.
• Try your luck at Friday night’s casino night — a favorite and fun event for students, parents and alumni.
• Hear the new vision for the university’s future from President George E. Martin as he reviews Strategic Plan 2015.
• Explore the hilltop and the rich history of St. Edward’s during a leisurely campus tour.
• Gather for a tailgate party with students, families and friends. Enjoy live music, kids’ activities and good ol’ Texas barbecue. Check out student organization tents set up at the party.
• Unleash your Hilltopper spirit at a doubleheader as you cheer on the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
• Set your sights on a dazzling display of fireworks against Austin’s evening skyline.
• Celebrate Sunday Mass and enjoy a farewell brunch.
