Class of 2011!
Two Distinguished Alumni to Speak at Commencement
Robert C. Hilliard to Address Undergraduate Class
Robert C. Hilliard ’80 has practiced law in Texas since 1983 and is board certified in
both Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law. Hilliard earned a BA in English from
St. Edward’s, graduating summa cum laude. As a student on the hilltop, he was a member
of the men’s tennis team and the Student Government Association. Hilliard earned
his law degree from St. Mary’s University and founded his own law firm in Corpus Christi.
In June 2011, Hilliard established The Brother Emmett Strohmeyer, CSC, and
Paul J. Weber ’80 Memorial Endowed Scholarship at St. Edward’s.
Daniel Guerrero to Address New College and Graduate Classes
Daniel Guerrero MSOLE ’09 earned a Master of Science in Organizational
Leadership and Ethics from St. Edward’s. He was elected mayor of San Marcos, Texas,
in 2010 and is the city’s youngest mayor and first Hispanic mayor. In addition to his mayoral
duties, Guerrero serves as the executive director of the San Marcos Education Foundation,
which supports the teachers and students of San Marcos Consolidated Independent School
District through fundraising and performance recognition initiatives. He earned his
undergraduate degree in mass communications from Texas State University.

The St. Edward’s University Alumni Association supports our graduates and
connects them to more than 22,000 alumni around the world. Every graduate is

Every graduating class at St. Edward’s has the opportunity to make an
