Virtual Virtues: Creating a Community of Integrity in an Online Course
By: Lori McNabb and Alicia Olmstead, 2008 APPE Conference
As students in the St. Edward's University Master of Science in Organizational Leadership & Ethics (MSOLE) program, Alicia Olmstead and Lori McNabb conducted research about academic integrity in on-line teaching fora and prepared these suggestions for teaching classes on-line. After presenting their work at the 2008 Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) conference in San Antonio, they again presented their work to peers on campus in the fall of 2008. They were gracious enough to share these suggestions with the Center and we hope you find them helpful.

Making our Vocation and Avocation One:
Religion and Education at St. Edward's University
What is the relationship between religion and education at St. Edward's University?
In 2000 and 2002, the Center for Ethics and Leadership obtained grants from the Rhodes Consultation to conduct a series of organized faculty discussions and campus lectures on this topic.
The Rhodes Consultation is a nationwide program funded by the Lilly Endowment to encourage a dialogue on the role of religion in higher education by faculties at Christian colleges and universities.
