  • MA in Counseling Information Session
    Thursday, August 2, 6:00pm-8:00pm at Main Building, Maloney Room

    An Information Session is where you'll meet admission coordinators who can answer your questions. You'll hear a brief presentation about the Master of Arts in Counseling program and mingle with St. Edward's University faculty and staff over light refreshments. There is no cost to attend and guests are welcome.

     An informal recital by Prof. Peter Austin and Ev Lunning Jr. presenting the Sonata for Cello and Piano in E minor by Johannes Brahms and selected Biblical Songs by Antonin Dvorak.  A schitzel and a kolache, so nu?  Please bring your lunches.

  • New College Information Session

    An Information Session is where you'll learn more about your options to earn or transfer credits before you apply. You'll hear a brief presentation about New College, the degree completion program for adult learners, and meet your personal admission coordinator. There is no cost to attend and guests are welcome.   • Second Saturday Guided Hike
    Saturday, August 11, 9:00am-11:30am at Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve

    Come and explore the trails of Wild Basin with seasoned trail guide John Barr. John will review the historical landscape of the Texas Hill Country as well as native plants and their medicinal uses. Sign-in begins 30 minutes before hike. Limited to first 15 people that sign-up.
    It is advised to wear closed toe shoes, sun protection and bring water.

    Incoming freshman students and their respective families and friends will be on campus August 22 and 23 to get acquainted with our university and all of its resources. Please welcome our newest Hilltoppers to our community. If you see any lost parents or students, please direct them to one of the Orientation staff members who will be able to assist them.

    The Center for Teaching Excellence invites you to attend the 2012 Teaching Symposium: A Conference on College Teaching. The conference, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, begins with breakfast, followed by a plenary session, presentations, panels, and workshops on a wide range of teaching topics.  This peer-reviewed conference aims to actively engage participants.     Be sure not to miss out on a new Hilltop tradition, so walk over to Holy Cross Lawn with your residence hall or commuter CIT Leader. Join your class in a special procession - through the iconic Red Doors of Main Building, through the heart of campus, and into the Medallion Ceremony - marking your entrance into the St. Edward's community. Dress is business casual.

    Join President Martin, faculty, and staff to celebrate the induction of new students into the St. Edward's University community.  Incoming freshmen and transfer students will receive a medallion with the seal of the University and learn more about our Holy Cross heritage.  Students should dress in business casual attire.  Family members are encouraged to attend.

    Sacramental Preparation is a learning process intended to help you understand more about the Catholic faith -- whether you're just asking questions, you're interested in joining the Church or if you're already Catholic and want to be Confirmed.  Join us for an info session to learn more.  Weekly meetings are held on Mondays during the semester from 6:30–8 p.m

    The School of Education is hosting its Third Annual Back to School Social on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., (Fleck Hall Lawn.) We will have free pizza, Jim Jim's, games, door prizes and music from the Drew Fish Band!

  • Concepts Illustrated Exhibition: Closing Reception
    Friday, August 31, 6:00pm-8:00pm at Fine Arts Gallery

    In the spring semester of 2012, thirteen St. Edward’s University students enrolled in Advanced Drawing with Hollis Hammonds. Each student proposed an individual creative research project related to drawing and their personal interests. The Concepts Illustrated exhibition features a collection of drawings created by this group of students. You’re invited to join the students for their closing reception.
