Charitable Gift Annuities
In return for your donation to St. Edward's, the university agrees to make fixed payments to you (and an optional second beneficiary) for life. You can receive income from your gift annuity right away (an immediate-payment gift annuity), or payments can begin at a later date selected by you (a deferred gift annuity).

Advantages:

• Get an immediate income tax deduction for a portion of your gift.
• Your annuity payments are guaranteed for life, backed by a reserve and the full assets of St. Edward's University. 
• Receive annuity payments that are partially tax-free.

Charitable Remainder Trust
This separately invested and managed trust pays income to you and/or your designated beneficiaries for life or for a term of up to 20 years. After the trust terminates, the remainder goes to St. Edward's University.

Advantages:

• Get an immediate income tax deduction on a portion of your contribution to the trust.
• Avoid capital gains tax on any appreciated assets you donate.
• Count on a stable, predictable income for life (or for a predetermined number of years) for you and your beneficiaries.
