| In addition to meeting
the major and minor (if any) requirements, every Undergraduate
college graduate must do the following: |
- Complete a minimum of 120 semester
hours of degree credit, including all required courses;
only courses numbered 1000 or higher may count toward
graduation. Courses repeated to achieve a required
grade of C are to be counted only once toward the
degree even though cumulative hours on the transcript
and on grade reports include all attempts resulting
in a passing grade.
- Earn an average of C (2.0), both
for cumulative work and work in the major field(s)
and the minor field(s) (if any).
- Satisfy all basic proficiency requirements
and the freshman writing proficiency requirement.
- Satisfy all General Education requirements.
- Complete a minimum of 30 hours at
St. Edward's University.
- Complete thirty of the last fifty
hours of credit toward the degree in residence at
St. Edward's. A student must be enrolled at St.
Edward's for the semester of graduation.
- Initiate certification of each major
and minor with the dean of the school offering that
program. Deadlines for requesting certification
are determined by the school deans. The signed certification(s)
must arrive in the Registrar's Office by the published
university-wide certification deadline for that
term.
- A student must register for GDCT 4000 for the
semester in which the student intends to graduate.
- Complete the Computer Competency Requirement tests
prior to graduation.
Note: St. Edward's University diplomas indicate
the degree earned (e.g., Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor
of Business Administration) but not the major.

| In addition,
the following conditions pertain: |
- Participation in commencement exercises is based
on certification of that respective term.
- In order for the diploma to be granted and transcripts
to be issued, the student must have met all of his
or her financial obligations to the university.
- Each student graduating will be asked to verify
the name to appear on the diploma. Changes must
be received in the Registrar's Office by the specified
date or the diploma will be issued with the name
as it appears on the academic record.
