Ethics in Business Awards 2004
For the third year, the St. Edward’s School of Management and Business is conducting the research on the Samaritan
Center Ethics in Business Awards candidates. Approximately
60 students, faculty and alums are participating in this rigorous
process to assess the ethical behavior of approximately 15
organizations and 5 individuals in Central Texas. These organizations
and individuals are being selected from a pool of approximately
75 nominees recommended as recognition for their exemplary
ethical behavior. Each spring and summer term, the research
team from the School of Management and Business , led by the Masters
of Science in Organizational Leadership and Ethics (MSOLE)
program, spends approximately 2000 hours conducting this research.
This project is a key service learning component of the MSOLE
program.
The researcher team submits detailed reports of their findings
to the Ethics in Business Awards Selection Committee, chaired
by Dr. Phillip Thompson of the St. Edward’s University
Center for Ethics and Leadership (www.StEdwards.edu/ethics/index.htm).
That committee uses the reports to determine this year’s
finalists and award winners. For more information on the
Ethics in Business Awards, please visit www.Samaritan-Center.org.
