Master
of Arts in Human Services
The objective of the Masters of Arts in Human
Services (MAHS) program is to develop qualified supervisors,
counselors, mediators, managers, and administrators for human
services agencies and organizations. They produce the most
important, although often intangible, products: solutions
to human problems. Whether governmental agency or volunteer
organization, each must have trained supervisors, managers,
and administrators. Master
of Business Administration
The MBA program prepares mid-level managers to lead their
organizations by utilizing the latest management tools and
techniques. Unlike traditional MBA programs, the typical St.
Edward's MBA student has approximately five years of business
experience in the public, private, for-profit and/or non-profit
sectors. Because the program is designed for working adults,
the curriculum incorporates a case-based and project-oriented
approach. Students are taught the essentials of management
theory and techniques in addition to developing life-long
learning skills that will enable them to effectively respond
to the dynamic workplaces in which they participate.
MBA
Certificate Program
For those who already have an MBA degree or for those who
wish to further their expertise in a particular area, the
MBA program offers Graduate Certificates in E-Commerce, Finance,
Human Resource Management, Global Management, Marketing, Management
Information Systems, Operations Management and Personal Financial
Planning. Each of these certificates consists of a series
of courses that allow students to specialize in an area that
will meet their current and future career goals.
Master of Science
in Computer Information Systems
The Master of Science in Computer Information Systems (MS
in CIS) prepares working professionals with and without information
systems experience to succeed in todays increasingly
technical corporate environment. The MSCIS program is designed
to provide its students with both the technical background
and the innovative know-how to solve problems that businesses
face everyday. Master
of Science in Organizational Leadership and Ethics
The SMB is responding to the needs of companies that are looking
for senior managers with the knowledge and skills to lead
and effect change to in todays rapid-paced and multi
faceted business environment through our Masters of Science
in Organizational Leadership and Ethics (MSOLE) program. The
MSOLE program was designed to assist senior-level managers
with the development of func-tional skills in teaming, collaboration,
leadership and change management. The program also focuses
on the acquisition of in-depth skills in analytical and critical
thinking and morale reasoning. This program culminates in
the successful comple-tion of an in-depth analysis of a complex
problem or opportunity within a students organization.
It allows for the synthesis and integration of theory and
practice as students not only analyze the situation but also
develop and implement a solution. |
