Thirty-two employees attended the session, where Dolores Sandman, County Extension Agent - Nutrition & Health, with the Texas AgriLife Extension Service presented a program on healthy eating, including information on portion control, the food pyramid and food groups, understanding the benefits of reading the nutrition facts on food labels, the difference between serving sizes, and how to control portions using the “plate method”.
