Casual Labor

Definition

Casual labor is employment for less than three months on a job which requires minimal skills and training. Examples include simple typing/data entry, filing, assisting with mailouts, taking inventory, cleaning up after special events, answering phones, and driving.

Casual labor openings to be filled by St. Edward's University students or jobs lasting less than one month are not required to be posted. This approval is not automatic and must be received prior to the job offer.
