Microbiology Adjunct Faculty

Scope: 
St. Edward’s University invites applications for an adjunct teaching position for the Spring, 2010 semester. This is a non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Biological Sciences. This position will begin January 5, 2010 and end May 15, 2010.
Responsibilities: 
Responsibilities of this position include approximately three contact hours each semester, teaching one laboratory section of a microbiology course for majors (BIOL 3139). One other course, not determined as yet, may also be available.
Qualifications: 
A Master’s degree in Biology or a closely related field is required, and a PhD degree is preferred. Position requires a demonstrated excellence in teaching microbiology at the undergraduate level, sound communication skills, laboratory course management and development skills, and the ability to work with a wide array of people including students, faculty and administrators. Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required.
