| Consistent with the Open Door Policy, an
employee with problems or concerns should discuss them with
his/her immediate supervisor. If the employee does not feel
comfortable with the process outlined in the Open Door Policy
or if the employee has utilized this process and is not
satisfied with the resolution, the employee may file a formal
complaint. This written complaint should clearly outline
the problem and what the employee thinks would be a possible
solution.
The written complaint should be submitted to the Director
of Human Resources in a timely fashion. After reviewing
the complaint with appropriate personnel, the Director of
Human Resources will offer a resolution. If the employee
is not satisfied with the response, s/he may appeal the
resolution to the appropriate Vice President. If the response
offered by the Vice President is unsatisfactory, the complaint
may be filed with the President. In all circumstances the
President's decision is final. Employees have additional
rights under federal law to seek redress in the event of
perceived discrimination.
