Pay Dates

Hourly Non-Exempt employees receive paychecks twice a month - on the last working day closest to the 15th and on the last working day of the month. The paycheck received on the 15th compensates time worked from the 16th to the last day of the preceding month. The paycheck received on the last working day of the month compensates time worked from the 1st through the 15th of the current month.

Salaried Non-Exempt employees receive paychecks twice a month - on the last work day closest to the 15th and on the last work day of the month. The paycheck received on the 15th compensates time worked for the first half of the current month. The paycheck received on the last working day of the month compensates time worked the last half of the current month.

Exempt employees receive paychecks on the last working day of the month. That check compensates time worked during that month.

Direct Deposit is usually available to all non-temporary employees. The paycheck may be deposited directly into an employee's checking, savings, or credit union account. Deposits will be credited and available on payday. More information about direct deposit and enrollment forms are available in Human Resources.

Paycheck and Direct Deposit Stubs Pick-up is available. Departments handle paycheck distribution differently, and the supervisor can provide specific details. Those departments that choose to have checks sent to the Office of Human Resources, PREX 101, for pick up should instruct their employees to pick them up between 9:30 am and 3:30 p.m. on the day issued. Checks or stubs not picked up in Human Resources will be mailed to the primary address on file with Payroll (either home or campus mail).
