Why I Teach

I have always had a great love of natural systems, but my exceptional teachers and mentors facilitated a far greater appreciation for these systems. My ultimate goal is help students gain a similar understanding and meaning of the natural world through science.

I integrate the most current biological theory, systems thinking and quantitative approaches to problem-solving. Setting high expectations for my students, I believe they will rise to the challenge.
