Awards
- Best of Show – These awards are presented at the St. Edward’s Honors Night each April. Selected Art majors and minors are awarded in drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, and sculpture.
Activities
Any student enrolled in an art course is invited
to participate in a variety of course-related and extracurricular
activities:
- Student Art Guild - President: Nora Whiteis; Facutly Advisor: Mary Brantl
- Annual Student Art Exhibitions
- Visiting artist presentations
- Field trips to art exhibitions in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Ft. Worth, as well as museums and galleries in the Austin area
Other activites include:
Exhibition Techniques course - provides an exciting opportunity for students to plan and hang professional quality exhibitions of work by professional artists.
Internships – offered to acquaint selected students with the practical experience of working with professional artists. |
