| Holly Holliday, MA
Holly Holliday is a native English speaker who has mastered the Japanese language
over the past 17 years of intensive study and application of the language. She
has a BA in International Politics and Japanese from Pennsylvania State University
and a MA in International Policy and Japanese from the Monterey Institute of
International Studies. She has been able to use her Japanese language skills
in a variety of ways including running her own translation business, being employed
for the Nara International Foundation (Nara, Japan) where she worked with US
secret service agents during President George H. W. Bush's official visit to
Japan, working for the Olympic Committee for the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano,
Japan where she interpreted for International Olympic Committee executives and
Olympic athletes such as Kristi Yamaguchi, working in sponsorship marketing for
the 2002 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament which took place in Korea and Japan,
and of course teaching. She believes developing Japanese language skills can
open up anyone's career to a wide variety of possibilities.

Yuko Kato-Gast, MA
Yuko Kato-Gast is a native speaker of Japanese. She has her MA in Applied Linguistics
and has completed all course work for her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics. Yuko
has taught Japanese since 1993 at college, graduate, and elementary school levels.
She has also been a Japanese cultural consultant for more than twenty companies
in Hawaii."
