Traditionally, we taught only four languages at St. Ed's: French, German, Japanese and Spanish. |
The 2001-2002 year began with two new language courses: |
Hebrew: Hebrew I is offered in the fall of odd numbered years and Hebrew II is offered in the spring of even numbered years. |
Chinese: Chinese is offered when there is a demand. |
| ARABIC: We will begin Arabic I in the
fall semester, and continue with Arabic II in the spring.
If there is sufficient interest the following year, we will
include the intermediate level. |

If you already have knowledge of Arabic, and would like language credit for this knowledge, or to be placed at a more advanced level, you will need to contact the instructor, Awad Abdelgadir, and the Foreign Language Area coordinator, Joby McClendon jobym@admin.stedwards.edu . |
KOINE GREEK : Listed as "Introduction to New Testament Greek I". This is one of the ancient languages in which the bible was written. It does not yet fulfill the St. Edward's language requirement, but can be a very interesting departure from the norm, especially for Religious Studies majors. |
