I acknowledge receipt of the St. Edward's
University Employee Handbook. I understand that it does
not form the basis of a contractual relationship between
me and the university but is merely an expression of the
university's present policies regarding personnel matters.
I understand that it is my responsibility
to familiarize myself with the contents of this Handbook.
I agree that I will conform to these rules and regulations
and, further, understand and agree that these rules and
regulations may be changed in the future and I will be bound
by those changes should I choose to continue my employment
with the University. I understand that I may request an
updated copy of the Employee Handbook and review the most
current version through the university's web site.
I also understand and agree that the university
has no obligation to pay me for time not worked if no appropriate
accrued paid leave is available to cover my absence. I further
understand that I will not be paid for time off as a result
of a disciplinary suspension.
Upon separation of service, I understand and
agree that the university's obligation to pay me ends on
the effective date of my work separation. I agree to pay
or make arrangements to pay any indebtedness owed to the
university and understand that failure to pay or make arrangements
to pay such amounts or to turn in issued uniforms, lap top
computers, equipment, keys, or other university property
may result in the amount being deducted from my final paycheck.
