Mac Mail

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

To use Mac Mail to check and send mail from your St. Edward's University account you will need to setup your incoming and outgoing mail servers.

You will be setting up Mac Mail to use Secure POP to check your email and to use a process called "authenticated SMTP" to send your email. Secure POP encrypts your password for a higher level of security. Authenticated SMTP means you can use a St. Edward's University mail server (smtp.stedwards.edu) to send email from your computer from any location instead of using your RoadRunner, SBC or other service's outgoing mail server. Note: Some ISP's may not permit usage of this smtp server on their network. If this smtp server does not work for you, please contact your ISP for directions on using their outgoing mail server.
