Printer Support
Information Technology supports four types of printers on campus (network, copier/printers, personal printers and CARS spooler printers).
Network Printers
Network printers are located in labs, hands-on computer classrooms and staff and school offices.
Lab and classroom printing
- You must be logged into EdShare to print to a lab or classroom printer.
- If a lab or classroom printer is not working contact the Computer Help Desk.
- Supplies: Contact the Computer Help Desk if a lab or classroom printer needs toner or paper.
Faculty and Staff printing
- You must either be logged into EdShare or be printing to a printer that is set up as an IP printer. EdShare printer names should be found on each printer.
- Contact the Computer Help Desk if you need assistance in setting up a network printer or troubleshooting a network printer.
- Supplies: Each department or school is responsible for ordering and replacing toner and paper.
Local Printers
IT supports HP Deskjet printers. Troubleshooting and printer ink cartridge installation instructions are available for the HP Deskjet 4620 and HP Deskjet 4630.
Contact the Computer Help Desk for assistance.
Supplies
Each department or school is responsible for ordering and replacing toner cartridges and paper.
Jenzabar-CX/CARS Printers
Printing from Jenzabar-CX/CARS may be done via a CARS Spooler printer or by using Quickmate and sending output to a local or network printer.
Printer/Copiers from OCS
Some departments on campus have copiers that also function as printers. Contact OCS directly for all support at 1-800-243-5556.
Wireless Printing
Wireless printing from laptops is available in the Library. This means you don't have to copy files to a computer in the library in order to print. Just connect your laptop wirelessly in the Library and follow the instructions to print.
Purchasing a Printer
Supported printers for faculty and staff may be purchased by filling out a Hardware Request Form.
