I.T. offers many levels of multimedia support for the St. Edward's community. Assistance is available to Faculty and Students interested in audio and video production and duplication.

Support:

Faculty:

  • Contact the Faculty Resource Center for assistance with:
    • audio and video duplication services
    • audio and video production
    • streaming media services
  • Contact Training for  classroom training on iMovie, Adobe Premeire Elements or Audacity. To schedule a training for your students on these software fill out the classroom training form.
  • Contact Media Services for classroom training on Final Cut Pro or guest lecturing on audio and video projects.

Staff:

Students:

  • Contact Training to sign up for free computer training workshops which include podcasting using Audacity, or iMovie or Adobe Premiere Elements for video projects.
  • Contact Media Services for help with Final Cut Pro and digital project consultations.

Accessing Software: 

On Campus:

  • Students may access the software used for audio and video production (Audacity, iMovie, Adobe Premiere Elements, and Final Cut Pro) in various labs on campus. Check the Student Computing Labs site to find the lab with this software .
  • Faculty may access Audacity, iMovie, Adobe Premier Elements and Final Cut Pro in the Faculty Resource Center.

Ways to Purchase:

  • Audacity is freeware and may be downloaded from SourceForge
  • iMovie is part of the Apple iLife suite and may be purchased at an educational discount at Apple.
  • St. Edward's students may receive substantial educational discounts through the following websites:
