Supported Web Browsers

IT supports the following web browsers

  • Firefox v. 3+
  • Internet Explorer v. 6+
  • Safari v. 3+

Specific Application Support

  • Blackboard: Internet Explorer v. 6+ and Firefox v. 3.0 and Safari 3.x  Current browser issues with Blackboard include issues with Firefox 3.5, Safari 4 and Google Chrome on Windows.
  • Zimbra WebMail: Internet Explorer v. 6+, Firefox v. 3+, Safari v. 3+
  • Elluminate: Internet Explorer v. 6+, Firefox v. 3+, Safari v. 3+

Ordering Software

Both Internet Explorer and Firefox are free. Both should be installed on every Windows university computer.  Safari and Firefox are both free and installed on every Mac computer on campus.
