Minimizing a window reduces the window to a button on
the task bar. To minimize a window, place the mouse pointer
over the minimize button and click once.

The minimized window will be placed as a button on the
task bar. Minimizing a window does not change or destroy
its contents. To expand the minimized window, click on
the corresponding button on the task bar.
