Section 4 - File Structure Views

Icon View

Before learning how to navigate and manage data in the Macintosh OS, it is important to understand how the file structure can be viewed and what information is presented in each view. The views available under the View Menu are the "as Icons," "as List," and “as Columns”. These views are also located as buttons in the Tool bars of the Finder windows.

The "as Icons" view presents the file structure as icons with their name underneath. No other information about the icons is presented.
