Section 3 - Hierarchical File System Overview

In Windows OS, files are managed in a hierarchical file system. The hierarchical system represents an upside down tree. The Hard Drive is organized by folders, subfolders and files. In the Window OS, the root folder is C Drive. C Drive is organized into folders, subfolders and files. In Windows OS, folders are sometimes referred to as directories.
