Section 5 - File Structure Views
Before learning how to navigate and manage data in the Windows OS, it is important to understand how the file structure can be viewed and what information is presented in each view. In Windows XP the views available under the View Menu are Thumbnails, Tiles, Icons, List, and Details, the views in Windows Vista are slightly different as shown on the next page.
The Thumbnail view displays a miniature picture
of the file or folder. If the folder contains pictures,
a few of the pictures will be displayed on the folder.
