show a globe circling the logo:

Mac Logo

|
This logo changes in appearance once you have
commanded Explorer to move to another web page. This shows the
browser is looking for the web page you have specified.
Notice at the bottom of the Explorer window, there
is a gray bar. This is the status bar. Just like the logo, the
status bar changes while you are downloading a page. A blue
bar fills up the gray area, notifying you of how much longer
it will take for your page to download. Once the page has finished,
the status bar will say, "done".

The next tool bar is the Location Tool bar. The
Windows Address Bar is displayed first and the Macintosh Address
Bar is displayed second.

The Address field is used primarily to type in a
URL address of a web page. After you have typed in an address
and pressed the <return> or <enter> key, the computer
will know to start looking for the page you specified.
If you are using Explorer for Windows OS, you will notice there
is a downward pointing triangle on the right side of the address
field. Click the down pointing arrow at the right end of the Location
field to look for addresses of pages that you typed directly into
the Address field. Once clicked on, this provides a pull-down
menu of all the sites you have recently visited.
