Section 5 - Retracing your steps in Internet Explorer

Now that you have visited a few pages on the web, you might want to go back to one of them. However, you may not remember the URL, and there are no links on the current page you are viewing that will lead you back to the page you want. A few ways to retrace your steps are:

• The easiest way is to click the Back button on your toolbar located at the top of the Explorer browser.

Mac Logo Back button

 

OR

Windows logo Click and hold down the Back button. This will provide you with a contextual menu of the pages you have visited recently. While continuing to hold down the mouse button, scroll down the menu until the page you are looking for is highlighted. Let up on the mouse button to activate the browser to go to the specified page.

Mac Logo To retrace your steps on a MAC, select Go on the Menu bar and a list of web pages visited will be listed:
