Section 14 - Specifying a Home Page
In Lesson 2 you learned about the home page and that it automatically appears when you open Explorer and Firefox. This is the page that is displayed when you click on the Home button. If you don't like the page that it is set to, you can change it.
To specify a Home Page (PC):
- First move to or open the page that you want as your home page
- Select Tools from the Menu bar.
- Click on Internet Options and choose the General tab.
- The first section of this dialog box is labeled Home page.
- In this section, click Use Current.

- This will set your browser to the page that is currently open. This sets your home page and this is the page that will appear when you open the browser.
- If you would like another home page tab, type the address of the home page on its own line.
To specify a Home Page (MAC):
- In Firefox, move to or open the page that you want as your home page.
- Go to the Firefox menu and select Preferences.

- In the Main tab click on “Use Current Page.”

- You may specify a new home page by typing in the address of the web page you want under the “Home page” box.
- To use the default home page click “Restore to Default.”
- To display your home page each time you open a new window select “Show my home page” under the “When Firefox starts” box.
