Section 3 - What are Periodicals?

Periodicals are newspapers, magazines, and journals that are published in intervals (periodically). Periodicals contain articles and are good sources of information for research.

Some examples of periodicals include

· Time, a magazine

· Wall Street Journal, a newspaper

· The College Mathematics Journal, a scholarly journal

Examples of Periodicals

Periodicals are available in a variety of formats including:

· print (paper) format

· microfilm format

· microfiche format

· electronic format
