Section 5 - New Presentation from Design Template
You may base your presentation on a PowerPoint template that already has a design concept, fonts, and color scheme. In addition to the templates that come with PowerPoint, you can use one you created yourself.
PowerPoint XP
- Single-click General Templates in the New From Template section in the Task Pane
- Click the Design Templates tab, single click on a design template name to select it and see a preview of that design's layout.
- Click OK to apply the selected design to all of the slides in the current presentation.

Templates with suggested content
Use the AutoContent Wizar d t o apply a design template that includes suggestions for text on your slides. You then customize it by typing in the text you want.
- Single-click General Templates in the New From Template section in the Task Pane.
- Click the Presentations tab, an d t hen single click on an auto content wizard design template name to select it and see a preview of that design's layout.
- Click OK to begin the wizard and fill in any customized information.
PowerPoint 2007
- Single-click the Design tab
- Then, click on your choice of designs in the ribbon. To the right of the ribbon you will find options to modify the colors, fonts and effects in the design.

MAC PowerPoint 2004
- Single-click on Format , from the main menu bar.
- Click on Slide Design
- Then, choose a design from the design templates folder and select Apply , as shown below:
