Eudora is a POP3 mail client application. Eudora is installed on your Windows or Macintosh computer. When you are connected to the internet you use Eudora to connect to a POP3 mail server at St. Edward's on which all of your email is stored. When you use Eudora to check your mail, you are downloading the contents of your Mail folder from the mail server at St. Edward's to the hard drive of your personal computer. Similiarly, when you send messages, you may keep copies of outgoing messages on your own computer.

Because Eudora downloads your email to the hard drive of your computer, it is not supported in any lab on campus. In the computer labs you must use Zimra Webmail or Squirrel Webmail to check your email.

Eudora is installed on every faculty and staff computer on campus. Students may download the free version (with ads) from http://www.frc.stedwards.edu/installers.

For more information on using Eudora, see the Eudora Technical Support web site.
