Eudora 7 (Paid mode) for Windows XP and Eudora
6 for Mac OS X have a built in Junk mailbox. This mailbox
is used by Eudora's anti-spam filters to automatically filter
everything that meets its spam criteria. While this system
should pickup the majority of the messages that are tagged
as spam by CanIT, St. Edward's spam filtering application,
it may also find a greater number of messages it thinks are
spam. The
Computer Help Desk recommends that you scan this mailbox
to make sure legitimate messages are not being incorrectly
sent to Junk.
Checking the Junk Mailbox
To check the contents of the Junk mailbox in Eudora,
click on the Mailbox menu and
select Junk. If you find a
message that has been incorrectly tagged
- right-click on the message
and select Not Junk from
the menu.
- You may also click on the message with the left mouse
button and go to the Message menu
and select Not Junk.
Marking Messages as Junk
If you find messages in your In mailbox that should be sent
to the Junk mailbox
- right-click on the message
and select Junk from the
menu.
- You may also click on the message with the left mouse
button and go to the Message menu
and select Junk.
