Synching Your Palm OS Device with CorporateTime Calendar
 

Windows OS

  1. Install the Corporate Sync Installer. Download a copy for your operating system from http://www.frc.stedwards.edu/installers/index.cfm. You must have the Palm Desktop installed before running the Corporate Sync Installer.
  2. Run the Corporater Sync installer by double-clicking on the icon.
  3. Accept the License Agreement
  4. Choose to do a Complete Installation
  5. Select Next and then Finish.
  6. To setup your synchronization, click on the Hot Sync icon on your Taskbar.
  7. Click on Custom from the menu and then select Datebook (Oracle Calendar) from the list. Click on the Change button.
  8. On the Change Hot Sync Actions dialog box click on the Settings button.
  9. Under Synchronization Settings click on the + sign next to Settings and select Sign In
    • User is exactly the same as in CorporateTime (firstname lastname)
    • Enter Password
    • Server: calendarserver.stedwards.edu
    • Node: 10000
  10. Under Datebook – Check or uncheck settings
      • Synchronize Refused Items (not recommended)
      • Add attendees names to notes
      • Limit Details
      • List Location

DateRange

  • Enter the From and To date range. It is not recommended to synchronize too large of a date range as the Palm device may not have enough memory to store a large calendar for many, many months.
  • To Do List
    Select date range and settings.

11. When all options have been changed, click on OK to save the changes. On the Custom Dialog box click on Done to save the changes.

12. Hotsync your Palm device and watch for any error messages. You may also check the Hot Sync log for error messages. To do so click on the Hot Synch icon and select View Logs from the menu.
