Accounts Generated Automatically
All Blackboard accounts
are automatically generated based on current faculty, staff and
student information from the CARS/Jenzabar- CX database. All
faculty, staff and students will login to Blackboard using the
same username and password used for e-mail, web registration
or faculty/staff advising. To login to Blackboard go to http://blackboard.stedwards.edu. Passwords
for Blackboard, which are the same as the e-mail and web registration
password, should be changed by students through their EdWeb page.
Faculty and staff should change their password through Staff
Information on the Web site.
Staff Taking Courses
If you are a St. Edward's
University staff member also taking courses, you will need to
use your admin login and password, rather than your acad login
and password, to access Blackboard.
Adding Students, TA's or Guests to classes
Faculty
may not add students or others to classes. Enrollment in Blackboard
classes is synched to the official enrollment record in CARS.
If guests or teaching assistants need to be added to a class
please contact an Instructional
Computing Coordinator. Students, guests, TA's, etc. will
only be added at the request of faculty, school deans or school
department heads.
Student View of Blackboard Courses
When a student logs into http://blackboard.stedwards.edu the
only courses that will appear under Courses You are Enrolled
In are those which faculty have chosen to make available to
students. Not all courses that a student is enrolled in use
Blackboard as part of the course materials.
