Automatic
Enrollment
All students officially enrolled in St. Edward's University
courses, through EdWeb, are also automatically enrolled in the
same course in Blackboard. Courses for the upcoming semester
are loaded into Blackboard 45 days prior to the first class day.
Student enrollment is uploaded to Blackboard 30 days prior to
the first class day.
Blackboard Enrollment Synched to Actual
Course Enrollment
Blackboard enrollment is synched to offical
enrollment three times per day at approximately 5:00 am, 2:00
pm, and 7:00 pm. If a student drops a class that will also be
reflected in the Blackboard course. Students who drop the course
will appear in the enrollment list in Blackboard with a red icon
next to their name.
Checking Enrollment in Blackboard
- Go to the Control Panel for the course.
- Under User Management click on List/Modify Users.
- Click on the Search button
to
see all enrollees.
Faculty may not change passwords for students in Blackboard.
Passwords are automatically synched for students with their EdWeb
password.
Adding Students, TA's or Guests to classes
Faculty
may not add students or others to classes. Enrollment in Blackboard
classes is synched to the official enrollment record in CARS.
If guests, instructors, additional students, or teaching assistants
need to be added to a class, please contact Instructional
Computing. TA's, guests, etc. will only be added at the request
of faculty or school deans or department heads. Students may
not request enrollment in a specific course.
