Turnitin.com is an online resource
for plagarism prevention. St. Edward's University subscribes
only to the plagarism prevention service from Turnitin.com.
Your professor will create a course on Turnitin.com in which
you will submit your papers. Papers
submitted to Turnitin are compared against billions of Internet
documents, an archived copy of the Internet, Turnitin's local
databases of submitted student papers, and the ProQuest commercial
database. Every paper submitted to Turnitin becomes part
of its database.
If you are using Turnitin with Blackboard see Using
Turnitin via Blackboard for instructions.
To start using Turnitin.com:
- Your instructor will give you a class ID number and
a class enrollment password. You will not be able to
access the course and submit your paper without this information.
- You visit www.turnitin.com,
create a user profile (just like an email account)
and use the class ID and enrollment password to enroll
in the class.
