Question: I want to have a live online session with my guest speaker who resides outside of Austin. Do you have the equipment to support that?

Answer: Yes, we offer training and support for Elluminate Live, an online conferencing system that allows synchronous audio/video conferencing with people all around the world. Please email your request to angelt@stedwards.edu

Question: I may be interested in incorporating the development/use of a web application in my course but am not certain how much time or effort it will require to do a project like this. Who can I contact to find out more?

Answer: Instructional Computing offers free, custom web application and database development for faculty members. These projects are usually larger in scope, require longer planning and development timeframes, and are assigned on a first come first serve basis. We recommend that you schedule an appointment with Jason Rosenblum to discuss and scope out your project needs.

Question: I am an adjunct faculty member; does the offer of custom web application and database development extend to me as well?

Answer: Absolutely! Instructional Computing is here to service all faculty members with any technology need.

Question: Where can I find answers to other technical questions such as setting up an email account, accessing Edweb, getting Internet access and virus protection, etc?

Answer: For all other technical questions, please contact the Computer Help Desk at 448-8443, or go to the Computer Help website.
